Marc Caellas and Esteban Feune de Colombi founded Compañía La Soledad in 2011, an oxymoron they use to connect traveling companies with their own inescapable solitude. For over fifteen years, they have been developing projects in amplified literature, theater, and performance art where texts—poems, manifestos, songs, graffitis—are read and interpreted poetically and playfully, in contact and self-absorption with other disciplines, staging the color, voice, smell, and even the touch of the writing(s).

In their productions, they work with language in relation to the landscape and the local context where the works are created. Each piece generates its own unique structure and leaves several traces: that of the premiered project itself, and another, more subtle and collective, perhaps even more lasting, that encompasses the network of connections woven in the lead-up to the premiere, hybridizing disciplines and knowledge, platforms and languages, borrowing and bartering.

Among other theaters, museums, and festivals, her works have been seen at Centre de les Arts Lliures Espai Brossa, Antic Teatre, Museu Tàpies, and MNAC (Barcelona); Conde Duque, Matadero, Teatro del Barrio, and Círculo de Bellas Artes (Madrid); Festival TNT (Terrassa); Festival Meet You (Valladolid); Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro (Cádiz); Berliner Festspiele (Berlin); Teatro Odeón and Centro Cultural García Márquez (Bogotá); Malba, Fundación TEM, and Museo de Bellas Artes (Buenos Aires); Teatro São Luiz (Lisbon); Bienal Teatro (São Paulo); Es Baluard and Casa Planas (Mallorca); The Wild Detectives (Dallas); Cidade da Cultura (Santiago de Compostela); MUSAC (León); Museo del Chopo and Galería José García (Mexico City); Centro Cultural Tierraluna and El Telón (Xalapa); CCE Santiago (Santiago, Chile); CCE Lima (Lima); and CCE La Paz (La Paz). In addition, they both write, jointly or collaboratively, books published by houses such as Caja Negra, La Uña Rota, Anagrama, Melusina, Planeta, Menguantes, and Seix Barral.
