Repercussion

This book is many books because there are many cities that we call Buenos Aires. A well-walked book that distills the cultural, erotic and psychoanalytic essence of a big city neighborhood by neighborhood. A widely read book, it quotes poems, essays and fiction to create the soundtrack of an urban interpretation. A very vivid book, full of experience and friendship and passion and irony; of truth, shall we say. A performative book, pure theater, that resorts to the mechanisms of appropriation and collage to take autobiographical and documentary literature out of its conventional frames, because after all, its author, in addition to being a chronicler and cultural manager, is a playwright who has taken actors, stages and texts out of their boxes to bring them closer to contemporary art. This book is also poetic, neurotic, drogotano, confessional, carcelonesque, post-Freudian, canchero, ethnographic, self-critical, Venezuelan, hybrid: in short, very Argentine.

This book is carnival and tango.
