Un puñado de flechas (2026)
A writer's doppelganger is admitted to a mysterious place. We don't know if it's a hospital, a healing center, or a laboratory for experimenting with psychoactive substances. The therapists are dealing with a speech impediment. Perhaps the only way to heal is to learn to shoot arrows at the stars, to allow desire to fly free from the weight of mandates and anxieties. Life is not a competition. The mirror reflects another image. There's no need to chase after arrows anymore.
This adaptation of the short story collection Un puñado de flechas (Anagrama, 2024) by the Argentinian writer María Gainza, winner of the Premio Narrativas a Escena 2026, granted by the Festival de Literatura Latinoamericana de Barcelona KM Amèrica, premiered at Espai Texas and was supported by Azala.
